The Auto Addresser portion of DMXRef is designed to eliminate the repetitive math involved in determining the address of numerous fixtures with the same footprint, or number of DMX channels:

Enter the start address, number of fixtures, and DMX footprint in the appropriate fields and press the "Get Addresses" button. The addresses, along with the switches that need to be turned on will be added to the list below the “Get Address” button. At the end of the list of addresses it will print “** End of Group **” so that you can easily tell where one group of fixtures ends and the next begins.

If you have more fixtures than will fit in one universe of DMX the Auto Addresser will automatically move to the next universe at the correct point, ensuring that no fixture will ‘straddle’ a universe. When this happens the Auto Addresser will alert you that more than one universe has been used. In addition to listing the DIP switches that need to be turned on the Auto Addresser will also give you all addresses listed as both local (2/126) and global (638) if you go past the first universe.

The list will remember all the addresses you have entered until you press the "Clear" button.

As with the DMXDIPster portion of DMXRef the Auto Addresser assumes you need to turn on DIP switch one for address one, if this is not the case simply turn on the “1 = All off” switch. If you do not need the DIP switch settings for your addresses simply ignore them, they are merely there to save you the effort of typing a bunch of addresses into the DMXDIPster tab.

Still having problems, let me know.
